Wednesday, , will mark the inaugural meeting of the 26.2 Business Network, a Phoenix-area networking group aimed at bringing together business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals who share an interest in staying fit while achieving business-related goals. The first meeting will be held at George and Dragon Restaurant, 4230 S. 48th St., Phoenix, at 5:30 p.m.

Prior to moving to the Valley, founder Lois Tiedemann belonged to a similar organization in Minneapolis and sees this group as an opportunity to connect like-minded individuals. "I know the power of networking in the business world, and when you are networking with runners/athletes that already have a common bond in a physical sense, then business will follow," said Tiedemann, a realtor/mortgage consultant and avid marathon runner.

This month's meeting will include a presentation, "The ABCs of Business Receipts," by Warren White of Total Tax Services Inc. The cost is free.
