Golden in Seattle

How do Hollywood's hottest celebrities maintain that healthy glow year-round? You can bet it's not from lying in a tanning bed. (There's nothing healthy about that!)

Airbrush tanning exploded onto the beauty scene this year. From the ladies of The View to men getting makeovers on Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, the spray-tan has become common practice for glamour girls like Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, and Paris Hilton. But you don't have to be rich and famous to get that J.Lo-glow. The art of airbrush tanning is now readily available to everyone!

Airbrush tanning is reshaping the way we view traditional tanning and the long-term effects of harmful UV rays to our skin and health. Airbrush tanning is a healthy alternative to fair-skinned, hard-to-tan skin types, as well as conventional tanners.

Unlike tans-in-a-bottle or spray-tanning booths that can leave skin looking streaky or unnatural, the airbrush tan is applied to each individual by a beauty professional. A subtle glow to an ultimate deep cocoa can be achieved on a wide variety of skin tones in approximately 25 minutes. Deana Finch, makeup artist and owner of The Bronze Bar, was trained in New York City by the creator of the sculpted tan. Finch recently relocated to Seattle after working under Sally Blenkey, who has been featured in magazines including Lucky, In Style and Glamour.
