The 3-minute recording is the shortest of three recorded by the soothing, calming voice of Esa Alraune. She wrote and conceived these meditations after having conversations with many about their difficulties in meditating and lack of time. She came up with a solution: do what you can, and build-up. The other recordings are 6 and 12-minutes, so if a person wanted to spend more time relieving their stress, they could. However, the 3-minute version is effective, and stands on its own.
Meditation is beginning to make its way into the mainstream as businesses are seeing stress related costs in the billions. There was even a series of articles about meditation in an issue of Time Magazine devoted to the subject not too long ago. However, it remains a mystery and elusive to many who would likely enjoy, and benefit from, it.
"Often people are afraid of what they aren't familiar with, and afraid of what others may think - even though they likely have similar concerns and interests. Having this recording available in this way makes it very simple to sample a form of meditation and get started," said Esa. "It's also non-committal, and free - do it, or don't - no one ever needs to know that you're into that 'stuff'," Esa added, with a smile.
The 3-minute Relieve Stress recording is the first of many Esa plans to have on her webpages. She has reached out to others who have written material that they would like to have recorded by her, and shared in this forum. Recently, a second recording made by Esa was added - Centering Meditation written by Rowan WhiteLlight - which has already received positive reviews. By the end of June, she will be adding her own Balance Meditation.
