Pro Figure Competitor, Yvonne Bates, Launches Website & Appears in National Magazine
Yvonne Bates, originally from Cambodia and now living in the Kansas City, Kan., area has transformed her body and her life and she's started her own company, Body Image by Yvonne, to help others do the same!
To help get the word out about her company, Yvonne, a professional figure competitor,
is featured in the October issue of Ms. Fitness Magazine (on newsstands now). Additionally, this month she launched a website, yvonnebates.com.
On the site, Yvonne shares her interesting background (she escaped as a child to the U.S. during the Vietnam War) and she offers advice for other women seeking to get and stay fit! Also on the site is an extensive gallery of photos showing off Yvonne's great physique, a list of her recent local and national media appearances and photos of her hanging out with fitness and bodybuilding celebrities.
The launch of her site, yvonnebates.com, is the direct result of Yvonne's recent success as a professional figure competitor. After earning her professional credentials late last year, Yvonne recently won first and second place in two major competitions.
On May 15th, in Worcester Mass., she won first place in the Northeast Classic, sponsored by the International Bodybuilding Federation. And on May 1st, she placed second in the Shredder Natural American Classic show in Texas. In early August, Yvonne is headed to the Cayman Islands to compete in her 4th professional competition.
This all comes on the heels of Yvonne losing 15 pounds, getting in tip-top shape and placing third, last November, in her first professional figure competition. The competition was held in New York and was sponsored by the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF), a premiere 100% drug-free bodybuilding, figure and fitness organization.
"A year ago, I was just a regular thirty-year-old mother and now I'm having the time of my life and I'm living the life of my dreams. I hope my success sets a fitness example for women everywhere, and I really do hope people will visit my new website and view it as a source of inspiration," said Yvonne.
